Although a new start-up, mesquite wellness has deep family roots, starting in 1987 in a small rural Texas town. The company name pays tribute to my father a rugged entrepreneur who cut and sold mesquite trees for a living. The owner grew up surrounded by mesquite, working alongside her father. In the pauses of a day’s work, gathered under a mesquite tree her father would read, pray, and give wisdom. The stillness of nature and the softness of the moment is a beautiful memory.
After serving in the United States Marine Corps, Kayla dedicated her life to restoring and cultivating wellness. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, she treats a variety of mental health diagnoses from a holistic framework. Additionally, Kayla is also a certified yoga instructor with a specialization in trauma-informed yoga. Kayla has three children and is madly in love with her husband, Manny. Kayla enjoys spending time with her family, working out, reading, and a chilled glass of sauvignon blanc.
“holistic health has always been a passion of mine; grounding comes naturally”
